A typical day in the life of an Assistant General Manager:
1. Assist the General Managers in all aspects of club management.
2. Lead, motivate, and support a diverse team of fitness professionals and support staff.
3. Ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
4. Manage members' inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
5. Oversee health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for members and staff.
6. Support in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
7. Promote and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain members.
8. Coordinate and manage events, promotions, and community outreach initiatives.
What we are looking for:
1. Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the fitness or hospitality industry.
2. Strong knowledge in commercial awareness and a basic understanding of leisure industry software.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a customer-focused attitude.
4. A genuine passion for health, wellness, and a desire to inspire others.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
6. The ability to establish rapport, build trust, and demonstrate credibility.
7. The ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. A proactive and positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.
9. The ability to work to deadlines and be KPI driven.
10. Strong knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety processes/policies.
11. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Hours can be 5.30am starts to 10.30pm finishes.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Some knowledge of cafe/bar membership sales.
2. Crisis management experience.
