Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily financial operations of the business, ensuring efficient cash flow management and proper fund deployment.
* Engage in senior-level business partnering with the Commercial and Operational Teams to enhance financial strategies.
* Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting processes, collaborating with stakeholders across the business.
* Ensure the integrity of financial statements while aligning internal controls with operational risks.
* Deliver precise monthly management accounts and insightful analyses to executive management.
* Manage the statutory audit process and implement necessary controls for compliance and continuous improvement.
* Work on cost reduction initiatives to boost productivity and optimize resource allocation.
* Coach and develop direct reports to succeed in their roles and encourage a high-performance culture.
* Contribute to the establishment of robust financial governance and controls.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* At least 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller in a similar sector, preferably within utilities.
* Proven ability to lead annual budgets and forecasts.
* Strong team-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Sound commercial and operational finance awareness, with an enthusiasm for questioning and challenging the status quo.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, able to provide actionable financial insights.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of handling financial systems improvements.
* Flexible, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills.
