I am working with a successful SME manufacturing business to appoint their first ever HR BP. With c110 employees across 4 sites, this role will be introducing HR to a business that are looking to modernise their ways of wor
king.
This role is reporting into the Managing Director who is incredibly passionate about the business. They have already set up company values and have started to coach line managers on Return to Work processes and disciplinary processes. The Head of Finance has also designed an onboarding process and is doing what they can to help the business be more innovative in their people management approach, but they are now ready to invest in a specialist to keep driving the HR agenda f
orward.
When I say there is huge amounts of value you can add here, I mean it! This organisation is part of a much larger global group and have an Engagement survey delivered from group annually. However, they have never had anyone on site to take the outcomes from the survey and put them into action. Response rates are dropping because there is no one to properly deliver on the feedback, so there is so much you could get stuck into really quickly to make a
n impact!
This is a standalone role, working closely with the SLT across the Chesterfield and Tipton sites. You will be expected to be onsite full time in Chesterfield and travel to their other sites across the West Mids and North East
regularly.

The successful candidate will have experience leading in a standalone or small team capacity for an SME manufacturing or similar indu
stry business.
This isn’t a role for the faint hearted. This is going to require a HR professional with a thick skin that isn’t afraid to get stuck into something that’s a bit broken and put the time and patience in to fix it!
