We’re looking for an energized, highly motivated, and talented Learning Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. In this role, you will act as a strategic consultant to business leaders, aligning learning and development initiatives with functional business priorities and driving impactful outcomes. This role can be based anywhere in Canada, the United States, the UK, or India. Your Responsibilities Strategic Partnership: Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to establish yourself as a trusted advisor. Conduct regular needs analyses to identify performance gaps and skill development opportunities based on the skills strategy of the business. Collaborate with business leaders to establish annual learning and development goals and conduct quarterly business reviews to track progress, adjusting as needed. Learning Strategy & Design: Create and execute a tailored learning strategy for assigned business functions, aligned with the overall business strategy and functional skills frameworks. Partner with subject matter experts and the broader Learning and Development team to design and develop high-impact learning solutions that address identified skill gaps. Deploy enterprise-wide learning programs to business functions, ensuring relevance and maximizing adoption. Leverage data and analytics to measure and report the effectiveness of learning programs, including recommendations for continuous improvement. Project Management & Execution: Manage the project lifecycle of learning and development initiatives, from planning and design to implementation and evaluation. Coordinate resources effectively and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful program delivery. What Does Ciena Expect of You? The Must Haves Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Management, Adult Education, or equivalent experience required. Proven experience working as a learning professional within a corporate environment. Experience working in a Learning organization (managing large-scale projects) is an asset. Ability to design and develop engaging and effective learning experiences across various formats (e.g., online, in-person, blended). Deep understanding of how adults learn best, including andragogy, motivational theories, and different learning styles. Experience in project managing and/or developing digital learning solutions. Prior experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus. Compensation And Benefits The annual pay range for this position in Canada is $88, 600 - $141, 500 CAD. The annual pay range for this position in the US is $107, 800 - $172, 200 USD. Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
