About the team and the role
As a Trade Ecommerce Executive you will be responsible for using data and insights to implement strong customer journeys and trade driving actions across the Ocado website and app. Owning and optimising key merchandising levers whilst following our core merchandising principles.
We want to make the shopping experience for our customers as simple, smart and inspiring as possible. Working within the wider customer marketing team to help customers to easily find their weekly essentials as well as to discover their favourite new products from Ocado's vast and exciting range leading to strong conversion and driving commercial performance.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with making commercial decisions whilst always maintaining a customer first approach.
What you’ll do
1. Utilise all available merchandising levers to drive conversion through customer friendly and commercially-savvy decisions.
2. Use data to continually identify opportunities to improve website / app performance and conversion rate to improve sales performance.
3. Own weekly merchandising and department reporting, attending department trading meetings as the merchandising representative.
4. Work with the Buying & Promotions teams within Grocery and Home & Lifestyle to drive sales and achieve commercial targets.
5. Make insightful trade-offs and prioritisation decisions into how to spend your time to optimise merchandising on Ocado.com and mobile apps.
6. Drive innovation and provide inspiration for our customers through continually thinking through new ways to shop that drive conversion and sales.
7. Evaluate and react to competitors merchandising activities & customer trends.
8. Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the business; Grocery Buying, Home & Lifestyle, Marketing, Insights, Creative & Branding, Supply Chain and Suppliers.
9. Support the Merchandising Manager and colleagues as and when required.
Who you are
10. Passionate about customer experience
11. Strong analytical skills
12. Strong planning and organisation skills. Experience of multitasking and managing multiple deadlines
13. Proactive self starter
14. Ecommerce, FMCG, marketing or shopper insights experience
15. Desirable: Content Square, Adobe Analytics and/or GA experience
