Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting one of our key clients in Aberdeen on a new and exciting interim Finance Controller Opportunity.
Summary: This leadership role involves providing strategic financial support, managing accounting and financial reporting, and advising the business unit's leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead financial transformation using digital tools
* Support leadership in managing orders, sales, revenue growth, costs, and working capital
* Develop and report analytics to influence decision-making
* Prepare monthly management accounts and oversee general ledger month-end close
* Manage weekly cash forecasting and annual operating budget
* Ensure compliance with tax requirements and liaise with HMRC, banks, and auditors
* Lead external financial audits and assist with Company Secretary duties
* Manage financial processes for strategic projects
* Develop and manage a high-performance team
* Perform supervisory responsibilities in various financial areas
Key Competencies:
* Strong leadership and analytical skills
* Attention to detail and strategic mindset
* Ability to handle confidential information and work under pressure
* Good organisational skills and capacity to handle high work volume
* Collaborative and able to work in a matrixed team environment
Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant
* 8-10+ years of related experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role
* Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience preferred
