Leading an established Education and Training team consisting of senior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, you will develop a strategy for learning and development of staff within the department from induction to expert practice. An important part of the role will be ensuring we are meeting the requirements for the new Pharmacy Degree and developing effective systems for providing support to trainees and newly qualified pharmacy team members. Main duties of the job The main duties of the job are leading the training team, organising training programmes for trainee staff in line with GPhC requirements, and acting as a Designated Supervisor for trainee pharmacists. Being an independent prescriber is highly desirable and ability to act as a DPP. You will network with other Education and Training leads in the region on collaborative projects. You will negotiate funding for courses with NHS England and promote education and research in the department. We are looking for a compassionate individual who has the ability to develop others. The preferred candidate will be organised and will be able to adapt their approach to different individuals. A background of education in a previous role is required and evidence of leadership skills including coaching, mentoring and delegation.
