Your New Company:
We are seeking a Registered Service Manager to work in a supported accommodation project within an education and social welfare organisation. This organisation delivers a variety of high-quality skills-related programmes and social services provision. Their programmes include support for unemployed individuals to retrain and secure jobs, vocational training programmes, adult education and social services provision such as young carers programmes and parenting support. They have supported over 5,000 participants across our programmes in Cornwall, Dorset, South Wales, Sussex, Wiltshire and Kent.
Your new role:
You will be managing a Supported Accommodation for care leavers, both male and female aged 16-18. The role involves supporting the CEO in ensuring delivery in high-quality, safe, and responsive supported accommodation services. The position requires managing day-to-day operations of supported accommodation, ensuring compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, Ofsted regulations, and quality standards. The goal is to achieve the highest possible outcomes for young people and maintain top grades in Ofsted inspections. The role also includes providing effective leadership and management to staff teams and being accountable for safeguarding interventions.
What you will need to succeed:
* Minimum 2 years’ recent experience of relevant management / leadership experience in a supported accommodation or similar setting.
* Thorough knowledge of Supported Accommodation Regulations and Quality Standards and other relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures for supported accommodation services.
* Minimum 2 years’ management of staff including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management, and fostering a team culture of continuous improvement and learning.
* Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing person-centred support and risk management plans for young people.
* A comprehensive understanding and experience in managing safeguarding issues and procedures
* Significant experience in working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of young people, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures and maintaining accurate records.
* Excellent crisis management skills and the ability to effectively deal with stressful and difficult situations
* Knowledge of diversity, equality, and inclusion principles and their importance in supported accommodation services.
* Experience in service improvement and change management and the ability to drive positive change within the service.
* Able to form part of an on-call rota providing out of hours support
* A full UK driving license and have use of a vehicle for work purposes.
* Able to work flexibly and sometimes unsociable hours.
* Possess/gain and maintain a satisfactory enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
* Willingness to undertake training and professional development.
