To provide the highest standard of individualized care to all patients in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, acting as an advocate for the care and support for all patients throughout the outpatient department. To ensure the outpatient environment is welcoming to all patients, visitors and staff using the facilities. To work closely with clinicians within the department across a range of specialist orthopaedic conditions. Educate patients and their families or carers, assessing their care needs and liaising with other departments within the Trust to facilitate the patients individual treatment pathway To carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision to the highest evidence based standard. To act as the departments team leader on a rotational basis supervising Clinic Support Workers, Student Nurses & newly qualified Staff nurses. Work closely with the Safeguarding teams and highlight concerns in a timely manner.
