Job Summary
Senior Rotational Occupational Therapist
East London NHS Foundation Trust is excited to expand their mixed skilled Trust wide rotation. We are looking for Occupational Therapists who are keen to gain clinical experience as a Band 6 within forward thinking and supportive therapy Services. You will be part of well led, dynamic and friendly teams consisting of multidisciplinary practitioners, who constantly strive for integrated working optimising patient care and team morale.
All teams work together to achieve both positive patient experience and outcomes. In all areas you will be able to access senior OT professional support and opportunities for clinical and professional training and development.
Working as an autonomous clinician and as an integral part of the Multidisciplinary team (MDT) you will be responsible for assessing patients, discussing patient agreed goals and expectations, delivering highly skilled treatments and providing education for patients and carers. You will also be responsible for ensuring safe and timely discharges for patients in each of the clinical areas.
Main Duties of the Job
Our ideal candidate will be qualified and state registered as an Occupational Therapist, clearly able to demonstrate a desire to actively participate in all aspects of the role.
* Willing and able to work in all areas of the rotation.
* Effective team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* To hold a referral-based caseload.
* Carrying out OT assessment and planning intervention with a focus on daily skills and engagement in meaningful activities.
* Working closely with the wider therapy team and participating in the planning and delivery of the group programme.
