The Facilities Management (FM) Service comprises several diverse and multi-disciplined teams that are responsible for the safe operation, management, maintenance, and efficiency of the Council’s property assets. The teams provide a range of services and support to the Council’s operational, commercial, and schools portfolios, ensuring the Council's legislative obligations are fulfilled.

1. Repairs and Maintenance (R&M) Team
2. Compliance and Surveying Team
3. Building Cleaning Team – Responsible for ensuring that all Council properties are clean and fit for occupation and securing a high level of occupant satisfaction.
4. Property Information Team
5. Energy Management Team
6. Facilities Management & Site Services Team

What is the job role? We have multiple part-time opportunities for Cleaners within our Cleaning team.
We are a key service department within the Council providing a routine cleaning service to corporate and public buildings, including the Council’s head office at Friargate and libraries. We expect our team to achieve high standards of cleaning and to have a can-do approach, in return for which we offer a competitive rate of pay and pension scheme, good training, development, and support.
In your job role you will:
1. Clean a designated area to a high standard
2. Undertake mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, polishing, and buffing
3. Cleaning of toilets and emptying bins
4. Clean with due care to health and safety
5. Full UK driving license is desirable for mobile cleaner post
