Job Description
Join us as a Maintenance Planner and play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production assets. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and scheduling both reactive and preventative maintenance, while actively contributing to project work and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a day shift position offering the opportunity to directly impact our operational efficiency and contribute to our goal of industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Maintenance Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance plans (reactive and preventative) to maximize equipment uptime and minimise downtime.
* CMMS Management (Agility): Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within our CMMS system, utilising it to drive proactive maintenance strategies.
* Asset Reliability & Performance: Analyse equipment performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement action plans to enhance asset capability and achieve operational excellence.
* Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Conduct thorough root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
* Project Involvement: Collaborate on equipment installation, commissioning, modifications, and improvement projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
* Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements, participating in Six Sigma projects, and generating innovative solutions.
* Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols, including Permit to Work and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
* Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Serve as a key point of contact for maintenance activities, effectively communicate with stakeholders, and manage sub-contractor relationships.
* Technical Expertise: Utilise your knowledge of AC/DC drives, PLC control systems, HMI/MMIs, and general processing plant equipment to support maintenance operations.
* Team Support & Flexibility: Provide technical support to Shift Technicians & Fitters, including potential out-of-hours callouts and shift coverage.
Qualifications
Qualifications
& Skills:
* Electrical Engineer: Time-served, electrically biased, with strong PLC (interrogation/modification), AC/DC drives, HMI/MMI, and SCADA expertise.
* Manufacturing Experience: Proven track record in high-volume manufacturing.
* Education: HNC (or equivalent) in electrical/electronic engineering (preferred).
* Hazardous Areas: Experience in hazardous environments (advantage).
* Diagnostics & Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic skills, proactive troubleshooting.
* Continuous Improvement: Improvement-oriented, drives process optimisation.
* Self-Management: Self-motivated, responsible, works well under pressure.
* Communication & Teamwork: Strong communicator, collaborative team player.
* Adaptability: Flexible, positive attitude, strong work ethic.
* Computer Literacy: Proficient in computer applications.
