Key Responsibilities:
Assessments: Complete connected carer assessments, viability assessments, and Regulation 24 reports in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure all assessments comply with fostering regulations, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
Multi-Agency Work: Collaborate with other professionals, including children's social workers, IROs, and fostering panel members.
Support & Advice: Provide professional support and guidance to prospective and approved foster carers.
Case Management: Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with local authority guidelines.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker - Degree in Social Work and Social Work England registration.
Experience in Fostering Social Work - Particularly in assessments of connected carers, viability assessments, and Regulation 24 reports.
Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, policies, and safeguarding practices.
Ability to work flexibly - This is a hybrid role, but candidates must be local to Bury and able to conduct home visits when required.
Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.Benefits:
