JOB TITLE Project Manager or Senior Project Manager – Power Networks (LV and HV) EMPLOYMENT TYPE Permanent, full time LOCATION Site based across Suffolk projects with hybrid working (office and home) by agreement Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and be prepared to travel to sites within the county and occasionally across East Anglia THE OPPORTUNITY We are delivering a growing portfolio of electricity-distribution projects covering both low voltage and high voltage scopes for a major UK Distribution Network Operator You will take projects from pre-construction through energisation, ensuring safety, quality, time and budget targets are achieved while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships Candidates with proven LV or HV experience – or both – are encouraged to apply KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Pre-construction - Lead optioneering and constructability reviews - Prepare project execution plans, schedules, risk registers and budgets aligned to NEC 3 or NEC 4 Engineering and Construction Contracts - Coordinate design approvals, consents and permits with the DNO, highways authorities and environmental bodies Construction - Act as Principal Contractor or delegate under the Construction Design and Management Regulations twenty fifteen - Manage site teams and subcontractors across civils, cabling, plant installation and commissioning - Chair progress, safety and commercial meetings and issue weekly and monthly reports - Monitor programme, cost and cash flow and raise Early Warnings or Compensation Events when required Commissioning and Close-out - Oversee factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests, protection settings and energisation with the DNO - Deliver operations and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings and handover packs - Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous-improvement forums MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Experience - Five or more years managing utility or power-distribution projects between eleven kilovolt and one hundred thirty-two kilovolt - Demonstrable track record delivering under NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts, Options A or C preferred - Solid understanding of LV and HV installation, protection, switching and safety rules such as Energy Networks Association standards and DNO procedures Qualifications and Competencies - Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Construction Management or similar (or equivalent experience) - SMSTS or accepted equivalent and current CSCS - IOSH or NEBOSH certificate desirable - Authorised Person, Senior Authorised Person or other DNO authorisations advantageous - Proficient with Microsoft Project or Primavera P-Six and confident interpreting single-line diagrams and cable route drawings - Strong commercial acumen with clear contract correspondence and change-management skills - Leadership style that promotes safety, collaboration and mentorship of junior staff WHAT IS ON OFFER - Competitive basic salary in the region of sixty-five thousand to eighty-five thousand pounds, depending on experience, plus car allowance or electric-vehicle scheme - Discretionary annual bonus linked to project and company performance - Twenty-five days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising with service - Matched pension up to six percent, private medical cover and life assurance - Professional development budget for authorisations and industry accreditations - Flexible-working policy plus buy or sell holiday scheme APPLICATION AND SELECTION Please submit a recent CV outlining relevant LV or HV and NEC project experience Short-listed applicants will be invited to a two-stage interview covering technical review and behavioural fit EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES We embrace diversity and equal opportunity.
