Flooring Systems also provides ready-made adhesives for floor covering installations, parquet flooring, ceramic tiles, leveling compounds for the construction industry, and liquid floors under the trade name Eurocol.
The Role
We are seeking to expand our Engineering team by recruiting an experienced Technician with relevant exposure in a heavy manufacturing production environment. The ideal candidate will have specialized in mechanical maintenance with some basic electrical experience.
Reporting to Engineering Team Leaders, the successful applicant will have completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship and possess proven experience in a heavy production setting.
This role involves working a 38-hour week within a three-shift pattern over five days (Monday to Friday). A team of multi-skilled technicians provides engineering support to all production departments per shift.
Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities
* Exhibit a strong Health & Safety work ethic at all times.
* Utilize engineering knowledge and experience to provide frontline maintenance support to all production departments daily.
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities across the site as required.
* Perform routine maintenance on site services such as compressed air systems, high-pressure hot water systems, package boilers, cooling towers, and refrigeration plants.
* Fault find and rectify mechanical and basic electrical faults, including conveying systems, couplings, bearings, motors, and gearboxes. Experience with HPHW/Steam boilers is advantageous.
* Participate in process improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime and enhancing departmental efficiencies.
Training
The successful candidate will undergo an onsite familiarization and training program during the first six months of employment.
Shift Pattern
3-shift rota including days, nights, and backshifts. 38 hours per week, with paid 30-minute breaks. Shifts are as follows:
* Monday-Thursday: Days 6AM-2PM, Back 2PM-10PM, Night 10PM-6AM
* Friday: Day 6AM-12PM, Back 12PM-6PM, Night 6PM-12AM
