Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to lead our finance team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in finance management within SMEs. This role offers flexibility, with working hours from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Lead the finance team, providing mentorship and support to two direct reports.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance.
* Collaborate with senior management to inform strategic decisions and business planning.
* Manage cash flow, including monitoring receipts and payments to ensure liquidity.
* Prepare for and liaise with external auditors for year-end audits.
* Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to drive profitability.
* Manage Full Time Accounts Officer and Part Time Credit Controller.
Qualifications
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification.
* Strong experience in finance management, preferably within an SME environment.
* Proven leadership skills with experience managing a small finance team.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and Excel.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
