The Clinical Specialist will take a lead role in the delivery of clinical service to young people and their families. This will include supervision of clinicians and playing an active role in clinical decision making along with other clinicians.
The post holder will have responsibility for providing clinical leadership to colleagues in assessment, treatment, and management of young people with eating disorders. The role will involve providing specialist assessment and clinically proven, evidence-based interventions to children and young people.
It is expected that the post holder will spend 60% or more time in the delivery of direct/indirect clinical care. The post holder will provide expert care and support to all children, young people, and families referred to the service, providing evidence-based interventions based on need.
The post holder will also formulate plans of care and negotiate implementations of such plans and the sharing of complex, sensitive, confidential, and at times contentious information.
