Bedford Modern School is an HMC Independent Co-educational Day School located on the outskirts of Bedford. Our facilities are excellent and include a separate Junior School, dedicated Sixth Form building, purpose-built Science Centre opened in 2017 and extensive sports facilities.
We are looking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified graduate to deliver curriculum Physical Education (practical and examination) across both Junior and Senior Schools.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and fully prepared to undertake the demands of working in an outstanding independent co-educational day school; including assisting with the day to day operational demands of the busy Sports Faculty.
The successful candidate will possess a clear enthusiasm for fostering a passion for sport and physical activity in young people with a demonstrated record of success. Formal coaching qualifications or playing experience in any of the school’s core sports (Hockey, Netball, Cricket) programme are desirable. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness and desire to develop their knowledge across a wide range of sport and physical activities.
