A public sector organisation is seeking a Programme Support Officer / PMO to assist in the coordination of resources across multiple projects within a technology change programme. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and successful delivery of these projects.
Your new role
As a Programme Support Officer, you will:
- Coordinate and manage resources across multiple projects.
- Support project managers in planning, monitoring, and controlling project activities.
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration amongst project teams and stakeholders.
- Track project progress and report on key metrics and milestones.
- Assist in risk management and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with project governance and standards.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Previous experience working as a Project Management Officer (PMO), which aligns with your extensive experience as a PMO Analyst.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills, demonstrated through your management of multiple major Business Transformation, Digital & Infrastructure Programmes and Projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, as evidenced by your stakeholder management and team leadership experience.
* Proficiency in project management tools and software, including MS Project and MS SharePoint, which you have used extensively.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, shown by your successful management of cross-functional and functional teams.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, highlighted by your experience in RAID management and issue resolution.
On another note, a valid Disclosure Scotland obtained within the last 3 months and recent BPSS Clearance would be an advantage.
