Role Overview
This is a part-time, on-site role fora Child & Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in ADHD. You will lead the clinical management of children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD at TRC. This role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of ADHD, while working collaboratively with families, schools and other healthcare professionals to create personalised care plans that support the holistic well-being of young patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnoses of ADHD in children and adolescents.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
* Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and patient progress.
* Collaborate closely with our MDT Team, schools and families to create an integrated approach to ADHD management.
* Support risk management and safeguarding protocols related to ADHD and its comorbidities.
* Participate in the assessment and management of comorbid conditions, such as anxiety and learning difficulties.
Requirements for the Role
* GMC registered with a licence to practice and on the specialist register for child and adolescent psychiatry.
* Medical degree, MRCPsych, and CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (or equivalent).
* Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and managing ADHD in children and adolescents.
* In-depth knowledge of current ADHD treatment guidelines, including medication management.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with children, adolescents, and families effectively.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
