Our Senior Medical Team will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare at UHN. Main duties of the job This post has been designed to offer an opportunity foran experienced General Practitioner to join our Medical Leadership Team. The post holder will demonstrate a commitment to cohesive working and shared responsibility to achieve the Trust's aims and objectives. You will work within the Medical Leadership team and will contribute to strategic decision-making processes acting in the interests of the the patients of Northamptonshire. You should have previous experience as a GP and be able to demonstrate leading on positive change initiatives that benefit patients broadly across the system. You will need to promote high standards of clinical care and teamwork through the provision of professional leadership to all medical staff on standards of practice, performance and associated professional matters locally, regionally and with system partners.The ability to support and chair key meetings which drive an improved patient journey from primary to secondary care is essential. You will also be expected to have significant reach and influence to support a cohesive agenda through primary care networks and in the design of and championing integrated pathways. The role will require driving innovative solutions and continuous improvement with key workstreams that will include a focus on admission avoidance and system working toimprove patient outcomes.
