Overall purpose of job Supporting the Employee Relations Manager by coordinating processes and guidelines to help align the workforce; ensuring there is a fair and consistent approach to the Group’s policies and procedures whilst promoting a positive ER culture within the business and minimising risks. About You Main Duties and Acco untabilities Advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to employee relations Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance, TUPE, Redundancies and absence management Drafting ER outcome letters to correctly reflect the decision makers rational. Developing effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation Presenting HR updates at Branch regional meetings as and when required Travelling to various branches to support the ER Manager with cases Monitoring trends in employment practices and advising on appropriate proactive action Providing advice and guidance on disciplinary and welfare cases, capability, grievance, and coaching managers where appropriate Keep abreast of changes in relevant employment law legislation and ensure that the Company complies Attend seminars and training programmes where possible to enhance knowledge Undertaking and supporting relevant projects in line with the HR strategy. Without prejudice conversations resolving employment disputes. Supporting with Employment Tribunal Claims. Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the post. Person Specification ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a HR environment CIPD/Degree equivalent in relevant subject Good knowledge of Employment Law Experience within a large multi-site organisation Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities Experience in a commercially driven organisation.
