Responsibilities
* Plan, implement, and drive initiatives aligned with the firmâ??s business objectives to enhance fund service capabilities, consolidate opportunities for growth, and maintain competitiveness through new product implementation and operational improvements.
* Take comprehensive responsibility for fund operations, including but not limited to: fund accounting, valuations, investment risk oversight, compliance monitoring, day-to-day fund services activities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across fund services operations.
* Ensure comprehensive CASS compliance through monitoring, interpretation, and implementation of regulations, policies, and controls, including client money and custody asset rules.Â
* Conduct regular reviews, communicate regulatory updates, maintain asset safeguarding processes, oversee third-party provider compliance, coordinate audits and inspections, serve as the main internal and external liaison for CASS matters, and provide guidance and training on regulations and requirements.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry norms by establishing and upholding effective risk management and compliance frameworks. Work closely with compliance and legal teams to design policies and procedures aimed at mitigating operational, financial, and regulatory risks. Stay abreast of regulatory updates and industry trends in fund services, adapting practices accordingly to maintain compliance.
Requirements
* Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, or similar field
* Advanced degree - e.g. MBA/CFA (desired)
* 15+ years experience in fund services operations within a wealth/asset management context within the UK market
* Proven understanding of fund administration procedures, investment products, and fund structures
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience with fund administration systems and technology platforms
