Cambridge Beehive/Bar Hill - Veterinary Surgeon
Nurturing, experienced, and passionate are just some of the words we'd use to describe our team and we are looking for you to come and join us!
About us
We have cultivated a friendly and nurturing culture and many of our team have been with us for some time. Giving everyone chance to spend time together and input into the way we do things is an important part of this. We hold regular clinical and management meetings including a practice lunch every 4 weeks where everyone gets the chance to order what they want from Deliveroo, and we enjoy this together. Outside of work our Nurses have recently done an escape room together (which was a thank you gift from the whole practice), we have completed a few ‘Race for Life's' and a virtual half marathon of accumulated step counts.
Our practice has state of the art equipment, including a separate laparoscopic theatre, imaging and dental suites, 5 consult rooms and a clinical training room where we can live stream our surgeries to from a high-spec operating light with inbuilt camera, to help with training and career progression. There are also separate dog, cat, exotic and isolation wards, and separate waiting areas. Our new practice will also be one of the first Clinical Academies to open across our business. From a wellbeing perspective the whole team will benefit from a large, shared colleague room, quiet 1:1 space and shower for those who want to cycle to work or exercise during their lunch break.
This role will initially be working across both of our Cambridge practices, Cambridge Beehive Centre and Cambridge Bar Hill, with a view to permanently being settled at one practice in the future that suits you best! We therefore have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us as we continue to grow through an exciting phase.
We have plenty of experience in our team and are passionate about developing every member. We actively promote ongoing CPD, offering an unlimited CPD budget for each colleague, and hold regular individual one to ones to make sure everyone can progress in the area they desire.
We hold several certificates between our Vets and Nurses in areas including Soft Tissue surgery (with one of our vets working towards becoming an advanced practitioner in this field), Feline Medicine, ECC, Endoscopy and Endosurgery, Ophthalmology and we would love to add more. We also offer a range of additional services to our clients including Laparoscopic surgery (we have completed over 750 Laparoscopic spays in the last four years) and Acupuncture and are extremely proud to be able to say that the current BVNA president, Charlotte, is a member of our fantastic nursing team.
