Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager / Care Quality (Residential Dementia Care Home), to support the registered manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care in our home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for senior care, ensuring that residents receive the support they need while promoting their independence and dignity whilst focusing on on over seeing the care delivery and ensuring the highest quality of care for those we support. Your role will be to support vulnerable adults with daily aspects of their life through a person centred approach, whist ensuring the staff team are supported within their roles, providing positive supervision, identifying training needs as well as support the team to reach their full potential. Duties Lead and manage a team of care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents, tailored to their specific needs. Provide direct supervision of care staff, offering guidance and support in delivering effective dementia care and other specialised services. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices. Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary. Foster a positive environment that encourages resident participation in activities and promotes social interaction. Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration logs and incident reports. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care is provided. You will have a good knowledge of the CQC framework, safeguarding, DOLS legislation. Qualifications Previous experience in a leadership role within senior care or assisted living environments is essential. You should be experienced with care planning, risk assessing, auditing and have good knowledge of medication management. Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices in senior care. Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff members. Ability to supervise a team effectively while fostering a supportive work environment. Knowledge of dementia care principles is highly desirable. A commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of all residents while promoting their independence.
