The role Adult Learning Lewisham requires a tutor with subject specialism in jewellery design and make techniques with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching adults including industry experience. Location Granville Park Centre What We’re Looking For The candidate must have experience and be confident in traditional and contemporary jewellery making: stone and bezel or flush setting etching and photoetching work in metal with copper, silver and or gold exploratory wirework sawing, filing, sanding, drilling, texturing, forging, sanding, piercing, creating rings, bracelets, brooches, pendants, polishing and finishing. metal clay techniques Rhino 3D, computer aided design COSHH including Health & Safety in a workshop environment. working as a team and enabling the learners’ work to be displayed at various venues sharing knowledge and teaching skills with peers. Classes take place on Wednesday evenings during term time with some additional hours available during non - term dates. We are looking for a reliable conscientious and dedicated tutor who preferably has experience of working in an adult environment and has qualification to at least level 4 as well as having or be willing to work towards achieving a recognised teaching qualification (e.g.Cert Ed/PGCE). The successful applicant must be prepared to work at any of our centres if required and carry out all administrative tasks associated with the post including attendance at tutor meetings and time for CPD.
