Job Title: Rota Coordinator Wentworth Community Care is a domiciliary care provider based in Brewood, South Staffordshire, West Midlands. We care for clients within their own homes across Wolverhampton, Willenhall, Walsall and Staffordshire. We are continually growing on a day-to-day basis offering job security and flexibility. Job Overview: Shift Pattern: Monday Friday 15:00-23:00 1 Weekend on-call in every 4 weeks (Saturday & Sunday 06:00 - 23:00) Additional management support available for this period where required We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Rota Coordinator to manage and optimise staff scheduling across our organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Schedule Management: Create and maintain staff rosters, ensuring optimal coverage for all shifts while adhering to labour regulations and company policies. Coordination: Liaise with managers to understand staffing needs and adjustments, accommodating last-minute changes and requests including sickness and leave. Communication: Communicate schedules clearly to staff, addressing any concerns or conflicts promptly. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of staff availability, shift patterns, and overtime, utilising scheduling software. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and company policies related to scheduling and employee work hours. Reporting: Generate and analyse reports on staffing levels, overtime, and shift adherence to inform management decisions. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues proactively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while maintaining maximum efficiency. Support: Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed, including advising vacancies, onboarding new staff and training them on scheduling processes. Provide support to the roster in the way of administering care visits in an emergency as part of our contingency plan. Qualifications/Experience: - Previous experience in scheduling, workforce management, or a similar role preferred. - Proficiency in scheduling software. - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Understanding of labour laws and regulations related to scheduling.
