The Role
We are looking for a Trainee Teaching Assistant who is willing to work in a SEND school supporting pupils aged between 5-11. Working as part of an established team, the desired Trainee Teaching Assistant will be supporting children 1-1 or in small groups. This role will be Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15.30.
The School
This School based in Cheltenham is a specialist provision for children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. They teach in small classes with an ambitious curriculum and increased opportunities for SEMH development opportunities. The school is part of Lifts Schools, which means that there are a huge range of training and progression opportunities for their staff, as well as the capacity to make meaningful changes for their pupils.
Requirements
- Experience working with SEND children
- Have a caring and positive nature
- Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people
- Understand the crucial importance of keeping young people and children safe.
- Be willing to pay for a DBS check and register with the Update Service .

Salary
£12.86 to £13 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
