We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our Maintenance Team at Deephams, North London.
What you’ll be doing as a Mechanical Technician
1. Conducting scheduled planned maintenance work on mechanical equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures, such as various pumps and associated control gear, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level and pressure measurement, pipework, chemical handling, and dosing equipment.
2. Investigating plant failures and conducting repairs.
3. Provide technical advice, referring to up-to-date technical knowledge.
4. Provide training or support for technical trainees if required.
What should you bring to the role?
5. NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical engineering qualification.
6. Able to work alongside others.
7. Basic understanding of mechanical procedures.
8. Understanding of electric motors and pump/Gearboxes.
9. Physically fit as you will work in confined spaces with successful completion of the appropriate training.
10. Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues.
11. Participation in a 24/7 out-of-hours standby rota will be required after a suitable period of training and assessment for which you will receive additional payment.
12. A valid driving license is essential.
