Our client is looking for a Legal secretary - this is an office based role Client Details a leader in their field Description rovide comprehensive administrative support to conveyancers, solicitors, and other legal professionals in the team. Prepare and manage conveyancing documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and property-related correspondence. Handle client inquiries and provide updates on the progress of property transactions. Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth communication throughout the conveyancing process. Draft letters and emails for review by solicitors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements. Open, maintain, and close client files in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures. Manage the scheduling and coordination of appointments, meetings, and property viewings. Assist with the completion of property searches and obtain necessary documentation from relevant authorities. Prepare completion statements and help with the preparation of invoices and billing. Ensure that all deadlines are met and follow up on pending matters to avoid delays in transactions. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information and adhere to data protection regulations. Keep up-to-date with changes in property law and conveyancing processes. Profile Previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally in a conveyancing environment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal practice management software. Knowledge of the conveyancing process and terminology is highly desirable.
