Role Overview
As an ICT Teacher, you will deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that cover essential ICT skills, digital literacy, and computer science principles. You will be responsible for preparing students to thrive in an increasingly digital world by fostering a deep understanding of technology, coding, data analysis, and digital safety. You’ll also work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate ICT across the curriculum and contribute to the overall learning environment of the school.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated ICT lessons for students across various key stages
Teach foundational and advanced ICT skills, including coding, software applications, web development, and digital literacy
Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic growth
Develop lesson plans, resources, and assessments that align with the curriculum and exam requirements
Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork in ICT projects
Promote responsible digital citizenship and online safety among students
Support and mentor students with different learning needs, adapting teaching methods where necessary
Work collaboratively with colleagues to incorporate ICT in cross-curricular activities and projects
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, tools, and educational practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, Education, or a related field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification preferred)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, or a pathway to achieve it
Experience teaching ICT or computer science in a school setting, with knowledge of the national curriculum
Proficient in teaching coding, software applications, and various ICT tools
Passionate about technology and education, with strong classroom management skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Commitment to continuous professional development and a growth mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
