Key Responsibilities
Role Purpose
As part of the Strategy & Sustainability team, the Business Analyst supports the company’s long-term business objectives through detailed data analysis and reporting. This requires a highly analytical individual who enjoys working with data to inform strategic decision-making (e.g., competition monitoring, market analysis, business case support, financial analysis, KPI tracking).
Responsibilities
Business Strategy Support
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic planning.
* Track and report on business KPIs and progress against strategic objectives, maintaining and creating dashboards and reports for senior management and the Board.
* Support the development and appraisal of business cases to inform decision-making on business growth opportunities and operational improvements.
* Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark the company against industry peers.
Reporting
* Develop and maintain automated data pipeline and reporting tools to improve the efficiency of business reporting.
* Visualise data to present actionable insights in a clear and concise manner to key stakeholders.
* Monitor and refine data collection processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
ESG Support & Analysis
* Work with the Sustainability Manager to assist with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting.
* Conduct greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting.
* Analyse GHG data, identify and assess emissions reduction initiatives, and model emissions reduction pathways in line with the company’s GHG reduction targets.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
General Requirements
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality, accurate work.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field.
* This position is open to recent graduates with a strong appetite to learn and develop.
Key Skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good ability to identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
* Good understanding of financial modelling including cash flow analysis.
* Proficient in working with large datasets, analysing trends, and creating insightful reports.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience of PowerBI and/or similar tools.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to present complex data in a clear, understandable way.
