We are seeking a compassionate, resourceful, and experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team. What You’ll Do Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans that align with students’ Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages communication, social interaction, and emotional growth. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and teaching assistants, to ensure holistic support for each student. Use evidence-based teaching strategies, including TEACCH, PECS, and sensory integration techniques. Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents/carers and external professionals. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent with a strong background in SEN. Experience: Proven track record of working with children with autism, preferably in a primary setting. Skills: Exceptional communication, adaptability, and the ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and colleagues. Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with autism. Creativity: The ability to think outside the box and tailor teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
