We are delighted that Alternative Learning Trust has received Department for Education approval to open a new Alternative Provision school and an SEMH Special School for children aged 11-16 on the Island of Sheppey.
Nore Academy, Sheerness
This is a permanent Term Time position with a National NJC 6 Pt16 - 20.
Nore Academy is a brand-new SEN school that has recently opened on the Isle of Sheppey.
We opened our doors early this year. We will cater for young people aged 11-16 with a primary need of SEMH and other related areas of SEN such as ASD.
The first phase of opening, which is ongoing, will see approximately 48 pupils join across KS3 and 4 and then up to 72 by September 2025, many of whom may have been out of school for some time and desperately need support from ambitious, driven teaching and support staff who care deeply about pupils’ emotional as well as academic development.
Estuary Academy Island is our separate Alternative Provision School on the same site which has been open for slightly longer and accommodates just over 80 KS3 and KS4 children.
Checks
We will conduct online searches on shortlisted candidates for information that is publicly available.
This appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check, medical screening and confirmation of qualifications and references.
