The Role
As theEBD Children’s Home Manager, you will play a vital role in the daily running of our children's home in Elmstead Market. You’ll manage a team of dedicated staff, ensuring the home is a safe, welcoming place where children receive the care, attention, and support they need to grow and overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the children’s home to ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
* Support the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
* Mentor and manage a team of skilled care staff, offering training and guidance to ensure a high standard of care.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and safeguarding standards.
* Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to support the wellbeing of children.
* Be a role model, demonstrating compassion, respect, and leadership in all aspects of the role.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a managerial role within an EBD children’s home or residential care setting.
* Strong leadership skills with a genuine desire to lead and support a team in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
* A solid understanding of safeguarding, regulatory frameworks, and the emotional and psychological needs of children in care.
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) is highly desirable, though we will support you in achieving this if not already attained.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
