Description
To support the Payroll Manager with the preparation and processing of an accurate monthly and biweekly payroll for salaried team members and high-volume seasonal support team in line with company deadlines whilst adhering to UK legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* You'll support our Payroll Manager in running smooth and efficient payroll operations for both salaried staff and our seasonal workforce. Your responsibilities will include:
* Payroll Processing: Managing monthly and biweekly payrolls using Access Select Pay, including reports and statutory filings.
* Payroll Accuracy: Conducting monthly reconciliations and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations (FPS, RTI).
* Data Management: Keeping spreadsheets accurate and up to date, from tax codes to maternity pay.
* Team Support: Collaborating with departments to process timesheets, handle payroll queries and provide general People & Culture assistance.
* Pension & Compliance: Administering the Group Pension and Auto-Enrolment scheme, plus handling Court Orders.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience with Select Pay (Access) or similar payroll systems.
* A sharp eye for numbers and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
* Knowledge of Auto Enrolment, RTI, statutory payments, and pension schemes.
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, V-lookups) and experience with staff rota systems.
* Great communication skills, a positive attitude and a flexible approach to working hours.
* Previous payroll experience required; payroll qualifications are a plus but not essential.
