Eden Scott are delighted to be working with our client to support the recruitment of a Financial Performance and Projects Manager to join their team based in Edinburgh.
The role is a full time, permanent position (if you are looking for compressed hours, the client is fully open to this). Please note, this role does not offer sponsorship, so all applicants must have full right to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business performance by providing support to all budget holders so they have the information to manage and improve their financial business needs.
You must be either a fully qualified accountant or an affiliate / 1 exam away from qualification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Holding regular in-person budget holder meetings: ensuring the budget holder understands the information provided and the action needed to improve performance and review, discuss and make any agreed adjustments to the forecast.
2. Working with colleagues to provide financial support/assistance to managers in order to create investment plans.
3. Prepare month end accounts including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, internal transfers and review and approve of journals across the team.
4. Budget and forecasting responsibilities.
5. Lead and manage the team to ensure tasks are carried out effectively.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
1. Full right to work in the UK.
2. Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) or Affiliate / 1 exam away from qualified.
3. At least 3 years work experience within a similar role - experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting.
4. Strong understanding of applying management accounting principles.
5. High level of communication skills.
