As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance of our passionate teaching staff and senior leadership team, supporting our young learners in developing key life skills and academic progress. With opportunities for some independent work, you'll engage with pupils both inside and outside the classroom, adapting activities to meet their needs. You may also guide new staff and TA Level 1 colleagues during teacher absences, helping foster a collaborative, nurturing environment.

Application Requirements:
• Relevant Level 3 qualification or extensive experience (3+ years) in a special school setting.

• A proactive, empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
• Proven ability to motivate children in their play/recreation and learning.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training as appropriate and evidence of relevant CPD and its impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement tailored care and support programmes, enabling access to learning for pupils with SEND.
• Assist teachers in the day-to-day management of the classroom and pupils.
• Work flexibly, supporting children individually and in groups within both the main classroom and specialised learning areas.
• Promote positive social interactions and development, using creative strategies to enhance engagement.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff when required.
