Bede's Trust requires a diligent and proactive individual to join the Estates Department as a Lead Carpenter.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs and renewals across the Trust ensuring that the school is a safe environment for staff, pupils and the general public. Working closely with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, this role also involves leading a team, providing technical leadership to engineers and maintaining records of completed works.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is able to manage project work, has experience in leading a team and has the ability to plan and organise a working day to work effectively and efficiently.
It is an essential part of the role that you have a recognised carpentry and joinery qualification, having a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in carpentry.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with the hours of 07:30 - 16:30 and an unpaid 1-hour break per day.
This role will be split between on-site working and office-based management.
We are offering an attractive salary of £37,856 per annum.
