We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Head of ECommerce Marketing to lead our eCommerce marketing strategy and drive growth. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising strategies that drive online sales, increase customer engagement, and enhance brand presence across digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital marketing channels, customer behaviour, and eCommerce best practices. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership : Develop and lead the eCommerce marketing strategy to achieve revenue, growth, and customer retention targets. Define goals and KPIs for all eCommerce marketing initiatives. Team Management : Build, mentor, and manage a team of marketing professionals and external agencies, including specialists in SEO, paid media, email marketing, content, and social media. Foster a collaborative and results focused culture. Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition : Oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns (paid search, SEO, social media, email) to drive online traffic, acquisition, and sales. Customer Retention & Loyalty : Develop strategies to increase repeat purchases, customer loyalty, and lifetime value through CRM programs, loyalty initiatives, and personalised marketing. Analytics & Performance Optimisation : Leverage analytics tools to monitor and analyse marketing performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimise campaigns, website traffic, and conversion rates. ECommerce Platform Management : Collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure a seamless user experience on the eCommerce platform, including site navigation, product listings, checkout experience, and mobile responsiveness. Budgeting & ROI : Manage the eCommerce marketing budget, focusing on maximizing ROI. Allocate resources across channels and adjust spending based on performance and business priorities. Brand Strategy & Content : Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints and guide the content strategy to build a strong online brand presence. Market & Competitive Analysis : Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and keep the company ahead in a competitive landscape. Collaboration : Work closely with sales, product, and IT teams to align marketing efforts with broader company goals. Ensure seamless integration of marketing strategies across departments. About You The successful candidate will be a skilled marketing strategist who is able to drive creativity, motivation and enthusiasm in others. What you'll need to succeed: 8 years of digital marketing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on eCommerce with revenue of £100 million Proficiency with eCommerce platforms Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing and customer journey optimisation. Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a high performing marketing team. Strong understanding of customer behaviour, eCommerce trends, and user experience best practices. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt strategies to changing market dynamics.
