This is a new role due to continued growth and our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Office Manager to take charge of the day-to-day office operations. Job Overview:
Reporting directly to company directors, you will be the first point of contact for clients and employees, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves a blend of administrative tasks, team coordination, and project support. Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage office operations including supplies, equipment maintenance, and general administration.
2. Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries via phone and email.
3. Oversee internal office procedures, ensuring policies are up-to-date and followed.
4. Handle bookings, coordinate team meetings, and organise travel arrangements for staff.
5. Attend senior management meetings, drafting reports and minutes as needed.
6. Ensure all office hardware, software, and systems are updated and functioning efficiently.
7. Support the project management team with administrative tasks, reporting, and client communication.
8. Maintain oversight of health and safety (H&S) requirements and company insurance.
9. Monitor and manage company websites, ensuring content is current.
10. Seek out ways to improve efficiency in office operations, procedures, and systems.
11. Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors, providing excellent customer service.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
2. Ability to juggle the demands of a busy office environment and work within a small, close-knit team.
3. Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft365 and cloud-based tools (e.g., Dropbox etc.).
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high standard of English.
5. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
6. Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy, with a positive and flexible attitude.
7. Experience in the land surveying or geomatics profession is preferred but not essential.
