Production Manager
What is this role about?
We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Production Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Burnfoot, Ireland. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a market-leading salary and excellent opportunities for development. The Production Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the effective management of personnel within the production department, aiming to optimize efficiency and quality in the Switchgear assembly area, at our EMEA Switchgear Production Facility. In this capacity, you will actively support operations in the delivery of products in line with customer demand, implement improvement plans and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your innovative thinking and proactive approach will be instrumental in driving positive changes, and you will assume overall responsibility for the production area and its organizational dynamics.
What you'll do? As a key team player, your responsibilities include:
* Ensuring Safety and Organization: Demonstrating a good record of Health & Safety awareness within a factory environment. Be responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and foster optimal workplace organization tailored to the product requirements.
* Process Optimization: A proven track record of providing leadership to achieve production targets within a customer-focused company. Driving production process optimization through the implementation of Vertiv Operating System's lean directives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* KPI Monitoring and Reporting: Working to achieve industry standard KPIs that assist with meeting business goals and driving improvement. Proactively monitoring production KPIs and providing detailed reports, including participation in higher-level meetings to keep internal support functions and stakeholders informed.
* Budgeting and Resource Planning: Defining production budgets and hiring curves aligned with volume trends to ensure optimal resource allocation and efficiency.
* Talent Management: Overseeing production personnel training, skill development, contract management to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
To be considered / shortlisted for this position to the interview stage, you will have attained experience/qualification in all the following areas as deemed essential for the position:
* Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
* Have a recognised mechanical or electrical qualification.
* Proven track record of providing leadership to achieve production targets.
