Our shops play a key role in our work, and all profits go to helping more pets in need. By volunteering, your contribution has an impact far into the future. If you complete your Duke of Edinburgh volunteering with us, you will be helping our team with the day-to-day running of our shops. Last year, our shops raised millions – we couldn’t do this without our amazing volunteers!
What you will be doing
* Greeting and helping customers
* Sorting donated items to quality check them before they go on sale
* Ensuring all our donation goods are in top condition
* Helping to price items ready to go on display
* Housekeeping in the stock room
* Replenishing stock on the shop floor
The skills you need
* An interest in the shop and enthusiasm for raising money through its work
* The ability to work as part of a team and get along with other volunteers
* High standards to ensure all items displayed for sale are top quality
* A willingness to help with a range of tasks and undertake tasks as requested

This volunteering role is for a fixed term of 3 months for individuals completing their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. We can extend this role should you wish to complete an additional three months for this section of your award. You’ll need to ensure you complete the required number of hours to have your award signed off. The minimum age for this role is 14 years old. If you are 13 and taking your award, you’ll need to sign up for our family volunteering role.
