LSA required for mainstream Primary School - Watford, Hertfordshire - September 2024 start on a long-term basis - Working alongside SENCO and with several KS1/2 students - £100 per day

This popular and friendly community primary school first opened its doors in the late 1960's and has gone on to provide the early education of generations of local pupils. Known for its inclusivity and ability to provide high level support for SEN pupils the school has a higher-than-average intake of pupils with needs including Autism, global delay, communications difficulties, and behavioural needs. The school has an exceptional SENCO who along with a team of SEN TA's work hard to ensure every child can access learning and make sustained progression.
Recently a need for a Learning Support Assistant who will work alongside the SENCO to support students in a variety of year groups has been identified that would start in September. This is a unique role that should appeal to those who have done one to one roles in the past and are looking for a slightly bigger role.
Person requirements:
1. Strong understanding of Primary Education and SEN having ideally experienced working in all the primary key stages.
2. Desire to work in a varied role, supporting multiple students and working alongside the schools SENCO
3. A candidate who can commit to a long-term role across 5 days a week between 8.30am and 4pm
4. Ideally someone who is keen to learn many of the duties and responsibilities of a SENCO taking the opportunity to further develop your own knowledge
