The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Teacher of GCSE Mathematics. You will be part of a highly successful team of dedicated Maths staff delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths at Nelson and Colne College. Please note, this post may close before the stated closing date if a high number of applications are received.
In particular, the Maths division aims to:
* Provide a highly ambitious curriculum which inspires students to achieve their very best and which supports them to aim high and reach the extraordinary.
* Ensure a high-quality maths provision with excellent teaching, learning and assessment.
* Support students to achieve excellent outcomes in maths, supporting them to progress onto their next steps.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson campus but may be required to travel across sites.
This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with their teaching qualification.

What You Will Be Doing:
Plan, deliver and assess GCSE Maths learners on 16-19 study programmes. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic practitioner who promotes and upholds the same high expectations as the College and its students. With a focus on sharing good practice, they will be committed to their own continuous professional development and will engage enthusiastically with our quality processes to ensure that our students receive an Outstanding experience.
What We Are Looking For:
* The successful candidate will have a real passion for teaching Maths and be enthusiastic about all aspects of their teaching practice.
* Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
* Hold a degree in Maths, or a related subject.
* Have experience in delivering GCSE Maths in a further education college, sixth form or secondary school setting.
