Due to strategic expansion, an opportunity has now arisen on their team for an Aircraft Fitter to join them and take ownership of the disassembly, testing, ‘fault finding’ and repair of various safety equipment. Working as part of a small, friendly team, the key responsibilities for your new role as an Aircraft Fitter, are as follows:
* To disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components.
* To reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMM’s / OHM’s and OEM packing instructions.
In an ideal world, my client is keen to find someone with a background in the repair and packaging of aircraft safety equipment and who has previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop of environment. They will however, be open to considering people from alternative industries, who can demonstrate to the potential to transfer quickly.
Regardless of previous expertise, you will have prior experience of interpreting and following compliance manuals, be a team player, by nature, and work well under pressure.
In return, my client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £35,000, with further career prospects available within the group; for those who want it. You’ll be working on a permanent day shift and the company offer some flexibility, with the working hours being either 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm.
