The Opportunity: As a Project Engineer specialising in body structures, you'll be responsible for the project engineering for our innovative vehicle models. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our projects, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to drive innovation and excellence. What you’ll do: Own attributes status on BIW. This covers tracking, management and reporting. Support and coordinate DFM supplier activities and feedback to engineering team. Supporting engineering team on design releases process, tracking & reporting. Direct report into PM function and working under Lead Engineers. Owner of project related presentations. Produce PMST slides with leads and produces PMT slide with PM. Owner of project related documents. Owns the ETRS (tracking, reporting and completion). Monitors and reports cost and mass information, BOM management. Supports creation of, PBOM, BOP and Metal tree. Issue tracking and reporting for lead engineers (Jira). Supports information packs for RFI/RFQ/DCS's and direct involvement in match trio (procurement, SQA, engineering). Supports DFMEA and DVP processes. Identify and report on any areas that require improvement. Experienced in supplier communications. BIW experience is a requirement for the role and start-up experience is a benefit. Supporting cost and mass saving reviews. Candidates should have a minimum experience in BIW of 2 years. What's good to have Catia and 3DX working knowledge (part measuring, weight, materials, attributes, assembly structure interrogation, cad exports). Jira dashboard (creation, tracking and reporting) GD&T working knowledge BIW commodities working knowledge (Castings, Stampings, Extrusions) Project launch experience Knowledge of joining methods like (Bonding, Welding, Mechanical fasteners -SPR's, FDS's. Knowledge of lead times and tooling processes for production commodities.
