ERM is looking for a motivated, hands-on Contaminated Land & Remediation Senior or Managing Consultant to join our Liability Portfolio Management and Remediation (LPMR) team in the UK. Working alongside program managers and partners, the successful candidate will be tasked with project management of work on interesting site investigation and remediation projects throughout the region. This is a great opportunity to work with ERM's technical experts to implement the latest investigation and remediation technologies as well as more sustainable approaches, while building the required experience to obtain your professional registration if not already received. The successful candidate for the role of Senior/Managing Consultant would undertake a range of duties including but not limited to the following: Project manage medium to large size LPMR projects within the UK and internationally. Lead on ongoing and future contaminated land projects at predominantly UK&I facilities. Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including client and regulatory liaison, multi-disciplinary working and proposal preparation. Have demonstrable ability to: - have good attention to detail - have good organisational and multitasking capabilities - maintain focus and motivation Supervise project team(s), coach and mentor junior staff Collaborate across regions and global practices Establish strong working relationships with clients through project delivery We are looking for individuals with the following experience: Have a sound awareness, knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, British Standards, industry guidance documents and best practice. Previous significant experience in UK contaminated land intrusive site investigation, risk assessment and environmental assessment work. Experience working on active industrial sites with advanced safety cultures or in remote locations preferred Qualified to degree level with a BSc and MSc in a environmental sciences, hydrogeology, geology, geochemistry or chemistry discipline. Excellent spatial and temporal data analysis / handling / manipulation and some GIS skills.
