Our client, a well established sub contractor that has been trading for over 40 years is looking for an Estimator to join their growing commercial and Pre-Con team. You’ll be working on high-spec joinery projects across healthcare, commercial, education and retail sectors. We're after someone who knows their way around drawings, pricing, and procurement – confident in tendering and comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers, and our clients in-house production team. If you’ve got a sharp eye for detail, a head for numbers, and experience in joinery or fit-out, we’d like to hear from you The Role As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of joinery and doorset projects. You will liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure competitive and profitable pricing. Key Responsibilities: Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders for bespoke joinery and doorset projects. Analysing project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to produce accurate pricing. Sourcing and negotiating costs with suppliers and subcontractors. Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options within estimates. Collaborating with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure smooth project handovers. Keeping up to date with industry costs, materials, and market trends. What We’re Looking For: ✅ Proven experience as an Estimator within the joinery, fit-out, or construction sector. ✅ Strong knowledge of timber products, joinery manufacturing, and doors. ✅ Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). ✅ Ability to analyse technical drawings and specifications. ✅ Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills. ✅ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
