Our client is an established commercial property company based in Epping, Essex. They are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Sole Charge Bookkeeper to manage their financial records. This role requires proficiency in Sage and the ability to produce accurate trial balance reports. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, and work independently to manage all aspects of bookkeeping. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Sage. Process and record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Prepare and reconcile bank statements. Handle accounts payable and receivable. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting to trial balance level. Record rental income and service charges from tenants. Reporting & Analysis Produce monthly trial balance reports. Provide regular cash flow updates. Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations Support annual audits and provide requested documentation to external accountants. Experience: Proven experience as a sole charge bookkeeper. Proficiency in SAGE or Xero accounting software. Strong understanding of trial balance and financial reporting. Knowledge of VAT Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
